Love Is In The Air

Two sets of beautiful feet were united before God in marriage this weekend. What a gift it is to be witness to the union of two hearts and souls and lives. Clay and Veronica stood faithfully before God on Sunday April 25th and celebrated His good, pleasing and perfect plan for their lives. It was a treasure to be a part of the beauty. What a sweet blessing to share this with the mother of the bride, my treasured friend that I love so much. It is also such a treat to board a plane and actually be the one flying in the sky, heading for a destination. So often I am the one looking up and dreaming. Washington was breathtaking. The variations of green on the trees left me speechless. There were those moments when all I could do was put my hand on my heart and hold my mouth semi closed while drinking in the clean, fresh air, praising God for His magnificence and beauty. I am so grateful for this sweet memory made. I am so thankful to have shared four romantic days with my love, my friend, my husband. These are the days that you fill your heart with, knowing they will carry you through the challenges of the normal days. "In everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thes. 5:18

April Showers

April showers bring May flowers. Did you ever wonder who wrote that? I dont think they were from So Cal. Flowers, the fruit of the vine, the fragrant beauty that stops us in our harried tracks and takes our breath away. There are so many flowers blooming right now. They dont wait for the rain in California. The closest we tend to come to rain is a prognostigated forecast that doesnt even result in dew! The Irish brogue in my head is slowly sinking into the language hemisphere of my brain, snuggled in until next March. However, I can't get Ireland out of my mind. When I yearn for a rainy day, which is often, I imagine the green hills of Erin and want to run through them like Julie Andrews, arms spread wide, song on my lips! If you listen you can hear the song of the flowers. It bursts forth in color and form. It buzzes and it sways. It does take ones breath away. "Consider the lilies of the field" Matthew 6:28.
