Snuggle Corner

Books! What a blessed gift the written word can be. It can be uplifting, inspiring, invigorating, convicting, confirming or even an escape. There is no question that the Word of God is the greatest Word ever written and it not only uplifts, inspires, convicts and more, it pierces our bone from marrow and soul from spirit. Wow! There are some gifted authors that I have been blessed to be introduced to through the years. Just recently I read Gene Edwards book entitled, A Tale of Three Kings. It is a study in brokenness. Check it out. Some of the other anointed authors that have deeply touched my heart and convicted my soul are: Brother Lawrence, Fenelon, Oswald Chambers, Madame Guyon and Elisabeth Elliott. With our munchkins about to start the new school year, it is a great time to get ready to delve into these great authors. Enjoy and please let me know what you discover!

  4. Have you read Let Go by Fenelon? I cherish his words and Godly wisdom. Also, for a fabulous escape...I love reading autobiographies and biographies of missionaries. YWAM has a fabulous series. George Mueller is one of my favorites.

  5. Oh we could be book buddies! Love mission biographies for sure. And Let Go was the glass I mentioned. Have you read Eternity in Their Hearts? You should. It's fantastic! I will confess though, I didn't ever finish it. The last bit got intellectual and I lost interest. I'm that shallow. :)

  6. Thank you for the awesome book title. I can't wait to read it. Maybe we should have Darlene set up a library at Camp Omak...What do you think? We could send copies of our most favorite books and when we come there we can bask in God's beauty and read!!! Who wrote Eternity in Their Hearts? What a treat!
