Reflections
There are certain memories that are so captured in our heart that when we revisit them they feel as though they were yesterday. One such memory is on my mind today. Two darling munchkins sit splashing in the tub while I sit on the floor, exhausted and dazed. My heart is aching as I cry out to God, asking Him why He has put such a desire in my heart to be a missionary. In His gentle, Loving Father way, He speaks to my heart and says, "This is your mission field. No matter where I could send you as a missionary, you would never have the 24/7 opportunity to share your faith like what I have given you here. This is the most important mission field that I could send you to." My heart changed as I dried my tears and looked at the precious, amazing, eternally significant mission field God had sent me to and I rejoiced. "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Galatians 6:9.
UGH... SO true Marnie. I took my kids to the Harvest Crusade under that umbrella. They are people who need Jesus too. Being a mom is probably the most challenging mission field because the kids are privy to our worst moments where other mission work allows you to hide those things better. Thanks for reminding me to keep going and not grow weary! Love ya!
